Eligibility
The scholarship is open to students, early-career professionals, and underrepresented groups who are pursuing a course or certification in one of the following technology areas:
- Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, Python (Django, Flask), Java (Spring, Hibernate), PHP (Laravel, Symfony), Ruby (Ruby on Rails), Node.js
- App Development: Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android), Java (Android), React Native (cross-platform)
- Cybersecurity Protection: Security frameworks, threat analysis, penetration testing
- Surveillance Monitoring: Camera software, image processing, computer vision (C++, Python, Java)
- Management Server Provision: Server management, cloud computing, DevOps
- SEO Traffic Service: Search engine optimization, digital marketing
- Other Relevant Areas: TypeScript, Go, Rust, machine learning, data analysis
Requirements
- Write a roughly one double-spaced page (1000 words) paper on the following topics:
- Why is it important for you to receive this scholarship?
- How will you utilize the scholarship to achieve your goals?
- What makes you a strong candidate for this scholarship?
- Why should we choose you out of the three recipients?

Apprentice Program
After graduating, recipients of the scholarship will be given the opportunity to join our apprentice program, where they will gain hands-on experience and work with our team to build their skills and portfolio.
Selection Process
Our selection committee will review all applications and select three recipients each quarter based on the quality of their essay, academic achievement, and potential for success in the technology field.
Timeline
The scholarship program will be offered every quarter, with the following deadlines:
- Quarter 1 (January - March): Application deadline is March 31st
Writing the Paper
To apply for the Mo Tech Security scholarship, you are required to write a paper that showcases your skills, passion, and commitment to the field of technology. The paper should be roughly one double-spaced page (1000 words) and should address the following topics:
- Why is it important for you to receive this scholarship?
- How will you utilize the scholarship to achieve your goals?
- What makes you a strong candidate for this scholarship?
- Why should we choose you out of the other applicants?
Requirements
- Originality: The paper should be written entirely by you, without any assistance from AI tools or other external sources.
- Content: The paper should demonstrate your understanding of the technology field and your passion for it.
- Format: The paper should be in PDF format and should not exceed 1000 words.
- Submission: The paper should be submitted along with your application, including your name, email contact, and phone number.
Disqualification
- Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism, including copying from other sources or using AI-generated content, will result in automatic disqualification.
- AI-generated content: We use advanced detection tools to identify AI-generated content, including ChatGPT. If we detect that you have used AI tools to write your paper, your application will be disqualified.
- Lack of originality: Papers that lack originality or fail to demonstrate your unique perspective and voice will be disqualified.
